Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who we share your data with

We value your privacy and take measures to ensure that your personal data remains secure. We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes or any purposes other than those necessary for the functioning of our website and providing you with the services you’ve requested.

Here’s a breakdown of who we may share your data with:

  1. Service Providers: We may share your data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our website and delivering our services. These service providers have access to your data only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
  2. Legal Compliance: In certain circumstances, we may be required to share your data with government authorities, law enforcement agencies, or other legal entities to comply with applicable laws and regulations, respond to legal requests, or protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property.
  3. Affiliates: We may share some data with our affiliated companies or developers for internal business purposes, such as improving our services or development. However, this sharing is done with utmost care and in compliance with privacy laws.
  4. Analytics: We may use third-party analytics tools to better understand how our website is used and to improve user experience. These tools may collect data about your interactions with our site but do not receive personal information unless you provide it voluntarily.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. If you have concerns about the handling of your data or believe your privacy rights have been violated, you have the right to file a complaint with the relevant data protection authority in your country.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
